Fire and prevention: combustion, causes, extinguishing agents (1.5h)
Fire protection: compartments, escape, detection and alarm, checks (1.5h)
Operating procedures and how an emergency is organised (1.0h)
Extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels: features and maintenance (1.0h)
Specific risks and organisational measures (1.0h)
Practical drills: extinguishers and hydrants, intervention scenarios (2.0h)
Description
When the risk is higher, the preparation has to be different. This course is for people who work where a fire can have serious consequences, and where knowing where the extinguisher is kept is not enough.
Eight hours of theory and practice: fire chemistry, hose reels and hydrants, and realistic scenarios. The drills are the core of the course, because in a real emergency muscle memory matters more than the manual.
It is for fire wardens in plants, warehouses, hotels, schools, hospitals, construction sites and other medium- or high-risk activities. The certificate is valid for 5 years, in line with the decree of 2 September 2021.
